a great day to look at art and visit studios. here is my shortlist. L trains are not running so take the J and get off at Flushing. Head directly to Kávé Espresso Bar (1087 Flushing Ave) the space will not disappoint. power up on the espresso and make your way through the Seeking Space Show at The Loom. Lots of interesting art. You will see work by the awesome MRI Lightpainting team. will be involved with them for some visuals for The Love Technology (see April 23 post). there was some really cool street art through something called open space (see above image) a block away on Vandervoort Place…..after that go directly to 1 Grattan and head up to Studio #232. it will not disappoint. moonshine, moonpies and fortunes. tell them that I sent you. suite 232 here is my fortune:

walk down the hall to studio #216 and you will see some beautifully raw hip hop photography by mike schreiber
